Made In Chelsea star Sophie Habboo experienced an emotional farewell during the final recording of her Nearly Parents podcast with husband Jamie Laing this week. The 31-year-old, who is expecting her first child with the 36-year-old former reality star, broke down in tears during a surprise performance arranged for the occasion.
An Emotional Finale
On Monday, the couple uploaded what will be their last episode before Sophie begins her maternity leave ahead of their baby's arrival in December. To mark the special occasion, Jamie and Sophie threw a small party with their production team as they wrapped up the popular podcast series.
In a particularly touching gesture, Jamie managed to secure a special performance by Superfly from ALR Music - the same act that provided entertainment at their lavish 2023 wedding in Spain. The moving performance proved too much for the pregnant star, who was seen wiping away tears before hugging her husband tightly.
'Wow guys, you're incredible,' Sophie exclaimed through her emotions as the music concluded. Jamie then enthusiastically shouted, 'Now we get the party started,' prompting applause and dancing from everyone present.
Lighthearted Moments and Baby Details
Elsewhere in the emotional final episode, the couple couldn't resist sharing some lighthearted moments about their journey to parenthood. At one point, Sophie mentioned they should be 'nailing the sex' at this stage of pregnancy, to which Jamie quipped, 'Wait, you've never told me this.'
The pair fell into laughter as Sophie continued the anecdote, describing herself as being 'there, with my tits hanging on my stomach.' This humorous exchange provided a counterbalance to the more sentimental moments of the recording.
The couple have been open about their December due date, with Jamie confirming the timeline during a recent appearance on Good Morning Britain. When asked by presenter Charlotte Hawkins about the 'imminent arrival,' Jamie expressed that he was 'so excited' about becoming a father.
Celebrating the Pregnancy Journey
Sophie has also independently confirmed the December due date through a meaningful gesture - commissioning a bespoke necklace from Incador jewellers that includes her baby's December birthstone in the design.
Earlier this month, the television personality celebrated her impending motherhood with a lavish baby shower at the exclusive Rosewood London hotel. She looked radiant in a white knitted dress as friends shared images of the beautiful table settings and decorations on social media.
The couple first announced they were expecting back in June with a sweet clip showing them having an ultrasound, captioned simply with a heart emoji. Their journey into parenthood will continue to be documented as they star in an upcoming Disney show focusing on their life as new parents.
