The 27-year-old daughter of music legend Lionel Richie attended Variety's 9th Annual Hitmakers Brunch at Nya Studios in Los Angeles on Saturday. She looked radiant in a sophisticated cream lace gown featuring a high neckline and sleeveless design. Her husband, Elliot Grainge, the CEO of Atlantic Records, coordinated his outfit perfectly, wearing a forest green blazer over a cream cashmere top. The couple's appearance comes just two months after Sofia publicly announced she is expecting their second child together.
Growing Their Family
This pregnancy follows the birth of the couple's first child, daughter Eloise Samantha Grainge, who was born in May 2024. The couple, who tied the knot in a lavish ceremony in Antibes, France in April 2023, welcomed their first child just over a year after their wedding.
Sofia revealed the exciting news of her second pregnancy in October of this year, sharing a mirror selfie on Instagram that showcased her baby bump. In the caption, she cleverly referenced both her pregnancy and the launch of her new clothing line, SRG Atelier.
Embracing Motherhood
In a candid interview with The Wall Street Journal in August 2024, Sofia Richie opened up about her first year as a mother. She described cherishing memories with Eloise by keeping a detailed scrapbook. "I wrote everything down in a scrapbook for Eloise, just things I didn't want to forget," she shared.
She also discussed establishing a routine, waking at 6 a.m. to spend time with her daughter before her first nap, and emphasised that motherhood was her "first priority." Sofia stated she would bring Eloise with her to work commitments like fashion week whenever possible, setting new boundaries to prioritise her family.
The model has also been transparent about the challenges of postpartum life. On the SHE MD podcast, she revealed she was diagnosed with postpartum preeclampsia after Eloise's birth, a condition involving high blood pressure. This required a 24-hour hospital stay and several weeks of medication, an experience she described as "horrendous," particularly having to leave her newborn daughter for treatment.
Just days before the Hitmakers Brunch, Sofia offered fans a glimpse into this new chapter, sharing behind-the-scenes photos from a maternity shoot with Elliot, where the couple playfully posed together.
