A woman has sparked a family feud after criticising her sister's choice of baby name, claiming it sounds like a dog barking. The sibling, who remains unnamed, took to Reddit's 'Am I The A**hole' forum to ask if she was wrong for voicing her opinion.
According to the post, the woman's sister named her newborn son Ruff. When she first heard the name, she laughed, thinking it was a joke. Her sister became angry, explaining that the name held special meaning for her and her husband, as they love an obscure video game character.
The woman warned her sister that while she has the right to name her child whatever she wants, the name could cause problems at school due to its dog-like associations. The sister has since stopped returning her texts and calls, and their mother has told the woman she should have kept quiet.
