Shaughna Phillips, the former Love Island star, has revealed she is experiencing postpartum swelling after giving birth to her second daughter, Sofia Phillips-Webb, on Halloween. The 31-year-old described the birth as “magical” and said it left her feeling “completed” in ways she “didn’t even know was possible”.
However, the reality star admitted she is struggling with swollen feet, sharing a video on Instagram of her puffed-up feet resting on a baby chair. She joked: “The flip flops are staying for a while longer it seems”. Postpartum swelling is common as the body flushes out excess fluids, typically easing within a couple of weeks but sometimes lasting up to six.
Shaughna announced Sofia’s birth in an emotional Instagram reel, revealing her daughter weighed 7lb 4oz. She shared a photo with her boyfriend Billy Webb and their newborn, calling the experience “the dreamiest experience for our perfect girl”. She also noted that November 6 was Sofia’s actual due date.
Sofia is Shaughna’s second child with Billy, who was jailed in 2023 for drug offences. Billy was released just before Sofia’s birth. Shaughna previously revealed she conceived Sofia during one of his brief visits home and was shocked at how quickly it happened. She has been determined to keep her family together, despite taking her older daughter Lucia to prison visits.
Shaughna admitted feeling guilty about Lucia in the lead-up to Sofia’s birth, saying: “I instantly felt guilty for Lucia. I was like, ‘Oh my God, what have I done? I don't want you to ever think that you were being replaced’.”
