Comedian Katherine Ryan, 37, was seen beaming as she took her newborn son Frederick for a stroll in north London. The star, who welcomed her second child in June, kept a low profile with a buggy, showing the little one the sights.
Ryan dressed casually for the outing in a denim jacket, black tracksuit bottoms, a T-shirt, and cream sliders. She shares Frederick with husband Bobby Kootstra, and also has daughter Violet from a previous relationship.
On her podcast, Ryan detailed her labour, describing it as coming 'out of almost absolutely nowhere' and feeling like 'the worst food poisoning of your life'. Despite having a 'best hospital and consultant', she was surprised that pain relief was limited to paracetamol.
Ryan kept her pregnancy private for months, admitting fears it could affect her career. She told Metro.co.uk: 'I thought that it might hurt my career. It's difficult to ignore that there is still inequality.' She noted that people in the industry avoided mentioning her bump, allowing her to continue working.
