Girls Aloud star Nicola Roberts has announced the birth of her first child, a baby girl. The singer, originally from Runcorn, shared the news on social media, revealing her daughter arrived “a couple of weeks ago” at 38 weeks, weighing 6.5lbs, and is “healthy and thriving”.
Roberts posted pictures on Instagram showing her holding her daughter’s tiny hand and her fiancé Mitch Hahn carrying the baby in a car seat. In the caption, she wrote: “Our beautiful baby girl is here. We haven’t stopped staring at her perfect little face or kissing her softest little head. It’s heaven on earth with her and we can hardly believe she’s ours.”
Celebrities including Michelle Keegan, Laura Whitmore, Amy Walsh and Jess Wright were among those sending congratulations. Roberts had previously revealed she required surgery at 22 weeks pregnant and was ordered to rest during her final trimester while appearing in West End production Hadestown.
The singer first announced her pregnancy on Christmas Day, telling fans she and Mitch had “been keeping a secret” and were five months pregnant. The couple got engaged during a holiday in the south of France in 2024, with Roberts debuting her diamond ring at Brighton Pride alongside her Girls Aloud bandmates.
