Reality television favourites Maeva D'Ascanio and James Taylor from Made in Chelsea have announced the joyful arrival of their second child, a baby girl.
A Heartwarming Announcement
The couple shared their happy news with fans in a heartwarming Instagram post on Thursday evening, the 27th of November. Maeva posted the first photograph from her hospital bed, tenderly holding their newborn daughter.
Alongside the intimate snap, the delighted new mum revealed their daughter's beautiful name, writing: "Welcome to the world little Josephine Scarlett Taylor."
Proud father James also celebrated the occasion, posting a clip of himself cradling baby Josephine in the hospital. The announcement was met with an outpouring of congratulations from friends and followers, including co-star Tabitha Willett who gushed "So exciting! huge congratulations," and Jack Taylor who noted, "Another JT added to the family."
Expanding Their Family
This new addition makes the couple a family of four, as they already are parents to their son, Beau, who was welcomed in 2022.
The pair had first revealed they were expecting their second child back in May. At the time, Maeva shared a touching series of images and footage featuring her baby scan. The photos showed little Beau in matching nightwear with his mum, bouncing around with excitement before sweetly kissing her growing bump.
James was also pictured beaming with joy, picking up his son and embracing Maeva. In her pregnancy announcement post, Maeva confirmed they were expecting a daughter, writing: "We can't wait to meet you pretty little girl @jamestaylorldn."
A Story of Love and Marriage
The birth of their daughter is the latest milestone in Maeva and James's relationship, which has been documented on the popular E4 show.
The couple initially tied the knot in a small, intimate ceremony at the Chelsea Registry Office in November 2023, surrounded by a close group of loved ones.
Just a few weeks later, they celebrated their union again with a second, more extravagant festive ceremony at Hedsor House in Buckinghamshire. This larger celebration, attended by 75 guests, was described as "perfect" by the joyful pair and was filmed for Made in Chelsea.
Reflecting on their special day, Maeva told HELLO!: "Everything was perfect, more than perfect." James added: "I know we did the legal bit the month before, but this was our moment. It had gravitas, which is exactly what we wanted."
For the grand celebration, Maeva looked stunning in a floor-length silk and lace Liz Martinez gown from P.S. Bridal Rental, which featured hand-embroidered florals and a fitted bodice. She completed her bridal look with a veil from Eden b. Studio and Jimmy Choo heels.
