Love Island winner Finley Tapp has become a father for the first time, as his girlfriend Jess gave birth to a baby boy just after New Year's. The 24-year-old reality star announced the arrival of their son, named Austin, on Instagram on Saturday.
Sharing black-and-white photos of the newborn, Finley wrote: 'Austin. For nine months you were an image in our heads. We imagined a world with you in it, and now you’re here. Our hearts have never been fuller. The most perfect baby boy.' He also praised his partner, adding: 'Jess, you were incredible. My admiration for you continues to grow each and every day.'
Finley, a semi-professional footballer, won the first winter edition of Love Island in 2020 alongside then-girlfriend Paige Turley. The couple split in June 2023 after three years together, with Paige later saying they had 'drifted apart' but remained 'still good friends.'
Finley had previously expressed a desire to start a family, saying he wanted children by the time he was 25. He said: 'I’m from four children, I’d like two or three children. Maybe a son where I can train him. I might just call my son Finley or Finley junior.'
