Steps singer Lee Latchford Evans has announced that his wife, Kerry-Lucy, is expecting their second child. The 49-year-old musician shared the news on Instagram on Christmas Day, posting a black-and-white photo of the couple posing by their Christmas tree with their four-year-old son Leo kissing his mother's baby bump.
In the caption, Lee wrote: 'Merry Christmas to all of yours…. from ALL of mine x x x x,' adding hashtags expressing he felt blessed and in love. Fans quickly congratulated the family, with one commenting: 'Awww, incredible news Lee. Congratulations to you all.' Another wrote: 'Such a lovely sweet picture, and this time next year there will be a new addition to your family, huge congratz to you both.'
The couple, who have been together since 2007, previously shared details of the traumatic birth of their son Leo in 2021. Leo was delivered by emergency C-section due to being in a breech position and Kerry suffering from pre-eclampsia. Kerry recalled that the anaesthetic did not work at first, but she described seeing her son lifted out as 'quite amazing'.
Lee and Kerry have been open about their fertility struggles, including a miscarriage. In a previous interview, Lee admitted to feeling 'resentment' towards friends who were expecting or had babies, saying: 'We went through a time where all of our friends were pregnant... we hated that and had a bit of resentment towards them.' He added that the experience was 'difficult and frustrating' but that their strong relationship helped them through.
