Former Towie star Lauren Goodger has announced the death of her newborn baby daughter, Lorena, who died at two days old on Friday. The 35-year-old said the birth occurred 'with no pregnancy or labour complications' and described her baby as 'the most beautiful healthy baby I've ever seen'.
In an emotional Instagram post, Goodger wrote: 'Words can't describe as a mother losing your baby.' She added: 'There was nothing wrong with her or myself, she was perfect, I can't understand it.' The reality star, who has 750,000 Instagram followers, asked photographers to respect her privacy 'as we have a lot of grieving to do'.
Goodger, who rose to fame as an original cast member of ITV's The Only Way Is Essex in 2010, revealed her pregnancy in January. In a post dated 28 June, she wrote: 'It's another new chapter of my life .. time goes quickly make the most of it.'
Thousands of comments were left on Goodger's Instagram post, including messages from fellow Towie cast members. Danielle Armstrong wrote: 'Oh darling heartbroken for you sending you strength and love', while Amy Childs added: 'Sending you love Lauren xxxx.'
