Former First Dates star Laura Tott has announced she has been diagnosed with gestational diabetes for the second time during her pregnancy. The 31-year-old, who is expecting her second child with husband Sean Clarke, shared the news on Instagram as she enters her third trimester.
In her post, Tott revealed that the condition was also present in her first pregnancy with son Leo in 2023. She wrote: 'Been told yesterday I have gestational diabetes again. Praying this doesn't affect my delivery choice this time round. Hoping for a VBAC.'
Gestational diabetes affects around one in 20 pregnant women in the UK, with symptoms including increased thirst, frequent urination, and excessive tiredness. The condition can increase risks for both mother and baby, including high birth weight, pre-eclampsia, and a higher likelihood of needing a caesarean section.
Tott, who left First Dates in 2021 to train as a paramedic, now works for the NHS. She continues to share updates with fans via social media.
