Hollyoaks actress Jessamy Stoddart has shared some wonderful festive news with her fans, announcing she is expecting her second child.
A Festive Family Announcement
The 32-year-old star, best known for playing Liberty Savage in the long-running Channel 4 soap, revealed her pregnancy in a sweet Instagram post. She is expecting the baby with her husband, Ryan O'Gorman.
In her caption, Stoddart wrote: "So incredibly lucky to be growing a little brother or sister for Joni." The post featured several heartwarming images to share the happy development.
One key picture showed a heart-shaped Christmas bauble hanging from their tree, inscribed with the words "Baby O’Gorman. Due May 2026." Inside the ornament was a copy of the couple's baby scan. Another photo was a mirror selfie showing Jessamy lovingly touching her growing baby bump while wearing a black top.
Flood of Congratulations from Co-Stars and Fans
The announcement was quickly met with an outpouring of love and congratulations from fellow celebrities and followers alike.
Former Hollyoaks actress Nikki Sanderson commented: "Amazing news!!!! So happy for you all." Other well-wishers included Kimberly Hart-Simpson, who wrote "Ahhh this is great news!!! Big love to you all," and Carrie Hope Fletcher, who exclaimed "EEEEEE!!!! Congratulations gorgeous!!!!" Lucy Fallon also added her congratulations.

From Wedding Bells to Growing Family
Jessamy and Ryan tied the knot in 2021. Their family began to grow the following year when they announced they were expecting their first child. Their daughter, Joni Drew O’Gorman, was born on 4 January 2023, weighing 8lb 4oz.
At the time of Joni's birth, the actress shared a poignant message on social media, saying: "After every storm comes a rainbow and this rainbow came on the anniversary of us first finding out we were pregnant." She expressed being "besotted" with her new arrival.
Stoddart's on-screen character, Liberty Savage, has experienced a turbulent journey since the actress joined Hollyoaks in 2018. Notably, Liberty carried a baby for her half-sister Sienna Blake but ultimately decided to keep the child, her biological daughter Faith. This storyline explored post-partum psychosis, with Liberty becoming paranoid that Sienna would try to take the baby.
In a past interview, Jessamy explained her character's mindset: "All Liberty wants is for Faith to be safe. She is her number one priority, she just needs to shut out the noise and listen to her instincts." She also hinted at potential reconciliation, adding: "I think out of everyone Sienna will be most likely to get there eventually - she’s persistent. Despite Liberty’s fears about her, their bond is so strong."
Prior to her television career, Jessamy performed in theatre productions including Legally Blonde and Mack and Mabel.
