A Place In The Sun presenter Craig Rowe has been rushed to hospital with serious burns after a tea-related accident at home. The 42-year-old, who joined the show in 2022, shared the news on Instagram, describing it as a 'small accident' that caused significant pain.
Rowe explained that he was making a cup of mint tea when he tripped while walking to the sofa, causing the boiling liquid to spill onto his foot and ankle. He was treated at St Thomas' Hospital in Westminster, where he thanked nurses for their 'care, reassurance and expertise'.
In his post, Rowe advised followers to cool burns under running cold water for at least 20 minutes and to avoid ice, cream or home remedies. He admitted being 'gutted' to miss his usual exercise routine but stressed the importance of allowing his body to heal properly.
Fans and friends sent well-wishes, with one commenting: 'Burns are so painful aren’t they? Sending loads of love and hope it heals quickly.' Another shared a similar experience, saying: 'I did the same with a mint tea... so I feel your pain.'
