Brandi Glanville Fears She Has Sexually Transmitted Ringworm in Throat
Brandi Glanville Fears STI Ringworm in Throat

Brandi Glanville has revealed on the latest episode of her Unfiltered podcast that she might have contracted a case of sexually transmitted ringworm. The 53-year-old reality star, during a conversation with retired porn star Lisa Ann, posited, 'I have a quick question. Have you heard about sexually transmitted ringworm? I feel like I have it . . . in my throat.'

According to the Mayo Clinic, ringworm is a rash caused by a fungal infection. It typically presents as an itchy, circular rash with clearer skin in the middle. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) notes that it can spread through skin-to-skin or sexual contact, leading to more severe infections.

Glanville shared her fears after she had previously claimed a parasite had disfigured her face. Ann emphasized that sexually transmitted forms of ringworm are 'very common on set' in the adult film industry. She explained that makeup artists had to be trained to inspect new performers in good light for any patches, as the infection is incredibly contagious.

Glanville said she had been dating someone in the adult industry who would only ejaculate in her mouth or on her face to avoid pregnancy. She joked, 'He didn't know that ship had sailed. I'm like, ok, whatever, I'm not going to correct you. Alright, honey.'

Despite her suspicions of contracting the sexually transmitted infection, the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star said her tests came back negative. 'I really just heard about ringworm yesterday...if it's in your throat, they can burrow deep into your ears and all that,' she told listeners. The Mayo Clinic clarifies that no worm is involved in the infection; the name derives from its appearance.

This revelation comes after Glanville shared last month on her podcast that she tried an unorthodox method to cure a cold caught from her son Jake, 18. After seeing a TikTok video claiming garlic can clear sinuses, she inserted a clove of garlic into her ear. 'It really went down further, and I had to go to urgent care the next day and get it taken out,' she confessed.

Glanville has been open about her health struggles in recent years. She previously said her face was deformed by parasites she contracted in Morocco in 2023 while filming The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip: Ex-Wives Club 2. Last year, she learned that her ruptured breast implants had been blocking her lymph nodes, preventing her face from healing from the infection. The infection led to extreme facial disfigurement, which she spent around $200,000 trying to fix. Earlier this year, she underwent surgery with Dr. Ariel Ourian to replace her leaky, ruptured implants, which she had for about 18 years. Although Glanville feels much better since the surgery, she still maintains that a parasite is the main cause of her ongoing health issues.
