Several popular food products have been urgently recalled from UK supermarket shelves over the past week due to serious safety concerns, including one product reported to potentially contain pieces of metal. The recalls affect multiple brands and retailers, including Lidl, Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, and others.
Morrisons Maple & Bacon Snack Recalled Over Undeclared Milk
Morrisons has recalled its Maple & Bacon Back of the Net sharing snack (140g, best before 22 August 2026) after discovering that some packs may contain undeclared milk, posing a risk to those with milk allergies or intolerances. The Food Standards Agency (FSA) issued the alert. Morrisons advises customers to return the product for a full refund without a receipt.
Icesupp Ice Lollies Recalled Due to Packaging Fault
Icesupp has recalled its Mango & Passionfruit and Mixed Berries products (86ml/100g) due to a packaging fault that could lead to microbiological contamination. The affected batches have best before dates ranging from May 2027 to October 2027. The products were sold in community pharmacies nationwide. Customers are urged to return them for a full refund.
Frozen Nutella Croissant Recalled for Metal Fragments
Ferrero has recalled specific batches of its Frozen Nutella Croissants (pack of 4, batch codes L126Z39 and L127Z39, best before 6 and 7 May 2027) due to the possible presence of metal fragments. The product was available in UK Lidl stores and has also been recalled in several European countries. Ferrero stated that no other products are affected.
Morrisons Coronation Chicken Pasta Recalled for Undeclared Milk
Morrisons has recalled its Coronation Chicken Pasta (230g, batch code GBB 584 031, use by 30 June 2026) because some packs may contain Florida Salad with undeclared milk. This poses a serious risk to those with milk allergies. Morrisons has issued point-of-sale notices and advised customers to return the product.
Prepworld Fruit Products Recalled Due to Salmonella
Several fruit products from Prepworld have been withdrawn after Salmonella was detected in apples and kiwis. The affected items were sold at major retailers including Morrisons, Tesco, Asda, Waitrose, M&S, and Sainsbury’s, with use-by dates between 23 and 24 June 2026. Products include fruit packs, kebabs, and slices. The FSA warned that Salmonella can cause fever, diarrhoea, and abdominal cramps, and advised staying away from work or school for 48 hours after symptoms stop.
