A heartwarming reunion has concluded a five-year saga for a Derby woman and her missing feline companion. Danielle Arme, 37, from Chellaston, Derby, was reunited with her beloved cat Bodhi this week after the pet vanished in July 2021 under mysterious circumstances.
A Devastating Disappearance and Lingering Heartache
Danielle Arme's ordeal began in the summer of 2021 when her two grey tabby cats, Bodhi and his brother Braxon, disappeared from her property. The step-mother-of-three was left utterly heartbroken, describing the pair as her "fur babies." She immediately launched a search effort, distributing posters throughout her Chellaston neighbourhood and appealing to local residents for information.
While Braxon was located a few weeks later, found wandering the streets some 20 miles away in Uttoxeter, Staffordshire, Bodhi remained missing. "I burst into tears, I was so shocked," Danielle recounted of the moment she received the call. "There's not many cats that go missing for that long and come back to you - it was just so surreal. It was nothing short of a miracle."

The circumstances surrounding the cats' disappearances have long been shrouded in suspicion. Danielle, who works for Rolls Royce, firmly believes that Bodhi and Braxon were victims of "cat napping" in 2021 before being abandoned far from home.
