A man claiming to be a time traveler from the year 5000 has shared a photo he says shows Los Angeles completely underwater, warning that this is the inevitable result of climate change.
The Alleged Time Traveler
Identified only as Edward, the man clutches a photograph in online clips that he alleges depicts a flooded Los Angeles in the future. He claims to have traveled from the year 5000 and participated in a secret time-travel experiment in 2004 that sent him 3,000 years ahead.
Edward's Story
Speaking to Apex TV, a YouTube channel focused on supernatural tales, Edward said he was working in a Los Angeles laboratory when he was tasked with journeying forward in time to capture images. Upon arrival, he found the city submerged under a vast expanse of water.
In the footage, his features are obscured and his voice altered to protect his identity. He stated: 'I will tell you a story that will amaze you and you will be astonished. I appeared at a place. It was unbelievable. I was standing on a huge wooden platform. Not only me, houses, buildings, of course, all made from wood. And after, I realised it was the same city, Los Angeles, but underwater.'
Atlantis and Climate Change
Edward also claims to have spoken with inhabitants of Atlantis, the legendary submerged civilization. They told him the flooding was caused by climate change. Rising global temperatures are melting polar ice sheets, causing ocean levels to climb and threatening major cities worldwide.
Skepticism from NASA
Time travel remains unproven despite conspiracy theories. NASA states that the kind of time travel Edward describes 'only happens in books and movies.' The agency notes that while time dilation affects GPS satellites, humans cannot travel hundreds of years into the past or future.
Many have claimed to be time travelers, but none have provided substantiated evidence.
