In a joint statement released by Horan and Rhett, they explained: "We’ve been sat with our teams and the promoters and meteorologist all morning since 9am and it feels like there’s a lot of severe weather in the area and some bad weather conditions and thunderstorms threatening the show." The statement added: "So, we’ve been kind of forced into a corner and we will have to reschedule a show to tomorrow night."

Fans who held tickets for the original date were informed they could attend the rescheduled show the following night or receive a full refund. The statement concluded: "We’re obviously sad that we have to do this, but this is what we have to do."
