Liverpool FC has revised its hot weather guidance for the Foo Fighters concert at Anfield Stadium on Thursday, June 25, as an amber weather warning for extreme heat is in effect for Merseyside. Temperatures could reach 35°C, prompting new allowances for sun protection and hydration.
Updated Sunscreen and Water Rules
Fans are now permitted to bring travel-size sunscreen (100ml or less) in plastic containers into the stadium. However, pressurised or aerosol bottles are not allowed. Sunscreen will also be available at entry points and inside the venue. Each attendee may bring one sealed 500ml clear soft plastic bottle of water; reusable transparent soft plastic bottles are also allowed. Metal or glass bottles are prohibited.
Before the Concert
Liverpool FC advises fans to stay hydrated throughout the day and use free water refill stations in Liverpool city centre before heading to Anfield. Sunscreen should be applied before arrival. Small battery-powered fans that fit in an A5 bag are permitted. Attendees are asked not to arrive before doors open at 4pm due to limited shade near the stadium. Light, breathable clothing and a hat are recommended.
At the Stadium
Extra water taps will be available on the pitch, and free drinking water is accessible at all bars and kiosks. Refreshments can be purchased inside and outside the stadium. Sunscreen dispensers are located at entry points, inside the venue, and at all medical and welfare facilities.
During the Show
Fans should continue hydrating with free water from bars and taps around the pitch. They are advised to watch for signs of heat exhaustion, such as dizziness, nausea, goosebumps, or sudden cold. Anyone feeling unwell should speak to the nearest steward.
