The Foo Fighters will play their only UK shows of 2026 at Anfield Stadium on June 25 and 27, as an amber weather warning for extreme heat has been issued. Temperatures in Liverpool could reach highs of 38C, while the south of England may see a rare red warning with temperatures potentially exceeding 40C.
What Fans Can Bring
According to updates from the Liverpool FC Help social media page, attendees are permitted to bring a sealed 500ml bottle of water into the stadium. Free tap water stations will be available at bars and kiosks inside the venue. Sunscreen cannot be brought in, but fans are advised to apply it before arrival and can purchase sun lotion inside. Organizers also recommend avoiding early queuing due to limited shade outside the stadium.
Health and Safety Guidance
Fans are urged to stay hydrated, be mindful of alcohol consumption in the heat, and follow NHS advice: stay in shade during the hottest parts of the day, drink extra fluids, wear a hat and light clothing, and avoid strenuous activity. The Met Office warned that temperatures could break the June record of 35.6C set in 1976, with a chance of climbing above 40C in some areas.
Tour Background
The Foo Fighters, formed in 1994 and led by Dave Grohl, have won 15 Grammy Awards and were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. Their Take Cover UK and European 2026 tour began in Oslo on June 10, with the Anfield shows being the only UK dates. The 61,000-capacity stadium is expected to host large crowds despite the extreme weather conditions.
