The fire at Arthur's Seat in Edinburgh has been extinguished, and fire crews have since left the scene. A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) control room said crews departed around 1pm on Tuesday afternoon after ensuring all hotspots were extinguished.
Firefighters Worked to Dampen Hotspots
Area commander David Dourley, local senior officer for Edinburgh, said: "Our crews remained on scene until today, working to extinguish remaining hotspots and dampen down the area. I would like to thank all of our crews for their work and our partners for their support. I would also like to thank the public for their patience and understanding."
Earlier, residents in the local area were advised to keep windows and doors closed due to the blaze.
