King Charles has reportedly offered one of his royal residences to Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for their upcoming visit to the UK next month. The couple, accompanied by their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, are set to travel within days. However, it remains unclear which property was proposed, and whether the Sussexes have responded.
Poll Reveals Public Sentiment
A Daily Express poll of 4,250 royal fans found that 3,821 (approximately 90%) believed the King should not have made the offer, while only 367 (about 9%) supported it. An additional 62 voters were unsure. The poll ran from 12pm on June 28 to 2pm on June 29.
Fan Reactions
Comments on the poll were largely critical. One fan wrote: "The Sussexes are toxic toward the Royal Family and the monarchy." Another suggested: "Maybe Andrew could put them up. All the ex-royals together under one roof." A third added: "To allow them to stay in a Crown-owned building such as BP would be an insult to the memories of every monarch since Victoria nearly two hundred years ago."
Visit Details
Harry and Meghan are expected to stay in the UK for one week with their children. The King’s offer reportedly came after speculation about where the family would lodge during their trip.
