Powerlifter flooded with offers from pervy fans for used gym gear after TikTok joke
Powerlifter flooded with offers for used gym gear after TikTok joke

Powerlifter Peta Emery was left stunned after being flooded with messages from men offering cash for her used gym shorts following an embarrassing workout mishap. The content creator, who has amassed over 460,000 followers on Instagram as @power_midget, says she never expected anyone to take her seriously when she joked about selling the shorts in a TikTok video after a training session.

Joke sparks unexpected demand

Peta said: "A lot of girls wet themselves doing heavy weights, particularly squats and deadlifts. I once made a jokey TikTok saying, 'Who wants to buy these shorts?' because I'd had to change out of them after training. I had so many DMs offering to buy them. I thought people would realise I was joking. I didn't expect anyone to actually want them."

The requests are far from a one-off, with followers regularly asking to buy items of gym clothing she has worn during workouts. "People ask for gym stuff a lot. They want to buy my gym wear. Gym socks are another thing. Loads of people want my gym socks," she added.

Niche requests and logistical challenges

While many fans simply enjoy watching her train, others are interested in much more niche requests, which can cause logistical problems. Peta said: "People really like gym content. But it's hard because I don't have a gym to film in apart from my local gym, and I'm not filming porn in my local gym."

She is often recognised while working out and regularly receives messages from people who have spotted her training. "The owner of the gym knows what I do. We laugh about it. I've had messages from other members being like, 'Oh, you train at my gym'. There's a gym group that I occasionally go to for cardio and I get messages from people in there all the time like, 'Oh, I saw you in my gym today'," she said.

Domination content proves popular

The powerlifter says her strength has also made domination-style content particularly popular with fans. "Domination-style content is probably some of my best-selling stuff. I've actually booked a BDSM dungeon this week to film with another Domme creator. We're going to go there and film together because that latex domination content always does really, really well," Peta said.

Despite the unusual requests, Peta says she takes most of it in her stride. "It doesn't bother me, each to their own," she added.
