Meghan Markle Vows Never to See Royal Family Again After Snub

Meghan Markle has reportedly vowed that she will “never see” the Royal Family again following a humiliating incident at Buckingham Palace earlier this week, according to sources close to the Duchess of Sussex. The decision comes after Prince Harry’s aides confirmed on Monday that the duke would be staying at Buckingham Palace during his UK trip, only for the palace to quickly respond that they would not be hosting the monarch’s youngest son. It is believed that Harry, 41, failed to reply to the invitation on time, leading to the snub.

Harry's Aides Confirm Palace Stay, Then Denied

On Monday, Prince Harry’s team announced that the duke would be residing at Buckingham Palace for his UK visit, which began that same day. However, Buckingham Palace swiftly contradicted this, stating that they were not going to accommodate the prince. This was perceived as a significant blow to Harry, who has since been staying elsewhere during his trip. The incident has reportedly infuriated his wife, Meghan Markle, who did not accompany him to Britain on Monday.

Source: 'One Insult Too Many'

A source told journalist Rob Shuter on his Substack: “This was one insult too many. Meghan feels they’ve bent over backwards for Harry’s family, only to be embarrassed again. As far as she’s concerned, she’ll never see them again.” The source indicated that Meghan believes every time Harry reaches out to his family, they find another way to reject him.

Harry 'Kept Changing His Mind'

Another source added that Harry “kept changing his mind” about whether to stay at the Palace, which caused the Firm to lose patience with the duke, who has not been a working royal for six years. This source said: “Meghan warned Harry this would happen. She believes every time he reaches out to his family, they find another way to reject him. She’s done. She has no interest in ever putting herself—or her children—through this again.”

King Charles Still Hopeful to Meet Grandchildren

While Meghan, Archie, and Lilibet did not arrive in the UK with Harry on Monday as originally planned, it has not been ruled out that they may join him on parts of the UK visit outside of London. This means a reunion between the children and King Charles is still possible, with the monarch reportedly trying to keep his diary open for a potential meeting. The King is said to be keen to meet his grandchildren, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, Harry and Meghan’s two children.

Meghan's Fury and Future Relations

The Duchess of Sussex’s reported vow to never see the Royal Family again will no doubt cause upset for King Charles, who has been attempting to maintain a relationship with his son and grandchildren. The incident highlights ongoing tensions within the royal family, exacerbated by Harry and Meghan’s departure from royal duties in 2020. The couple has since lived in California with their children, and this latest snub appears to have further strained relations.
