Irish presenter Vogue Williams has made a deliberate decision that her three young children will not be present to greet her when she eventually leaves the I'm A Celebrity...Get Me Out Of Here! jungle. The podcaster, who joined the ITV reality show as a late entry, explained her reasoning before departing for Australia.
Why The Children Are Staying in London
During a recent episode of her podcast, My Therapist Ghosted Me, which aired on November 21, Vogue outlined the potential 'fallout' from such a long journey for her kids. She confirmed that while the show sometimes flies out the families of contestants who progress far, she has specifically asked her husband, Spencer Matthews, not to bring their children—Theodore, Gigi, and Otto—to Australia.
"My kids are very young, and they're in school," the 40-year-old stated. "I will have to deal with the fallout of very little children flying for that long for two days, so I've asked for Spen not to bring them out."
Spencer Matthews' Antarctic Challenge and Logistics
The family's plans are further complicated by Spencer's own solo project. He is currently undertaking Seven in Seven, a formidable challenge involving seven triathlons across seven continents, which concludes in Antarctica on December 7. Vogue's jungle stint is scheduled to end on December 8.
Vogue addressed the practical nightmare of him travelling from Antarctica to Australia in time, noting, "Spen might not be there because he's doing his project." She was keen to stress that this logistical hurdle is the sole reason for his potential absence, firmly adding that there is no 'family feud' and she needed to "make sure that people know that."
In their parents' absence, the children will remain at the family's London home under the care of Vogue's mother, Sandra.
Addressing Marriage Rumours Head-On
In related developments, Vogue has also directly confronted recent speculation about the state of her marriage. Speaking to The Sun's Fabulous, she dismissed the rumours and affirmed the strength of their relationship.
"Our relationship is solid," she declared. "When you're in the public eye, you can kind of expect stuff like that. We're happy, our relationship is solid, and we're having a great time, our kids are happy, and that's all that matters."
Echoing her sentiments from afar, Spencer took to Instagram to express how much he misses his wife, revealing that this period is the longest they've gone without talking since they married. He wrote: "It's wild how much you can miss someone you've spoken to every single day for years. This is the longest we've gone without talking since we've been married, and I feel it more than I ever expected."
