Charli Burnett Marries Corey Loftus in Meaningful Mexican Wedding
Vanderpump Rules' Charli Burnett Ties the Knot

Reality television star Charli Burnett, best known for her role on Bravo's Vanderpump Rules, has officially married her partner of six years, Corey Loftus. The couple exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony held in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, a location of profound family significance for the bride.

A Ceremony Steeped in Family History

The wedding took place at the Instituo Allende, an educational centre in the colonial-era city. For Burnett, 28, the choice of location was deeply sentimental. She revealed to People magazine that her great-grandfather immigrated from that very region of Guanajuato, making it a meaningful backdrop for her nuptials.

Burnett made a stunning bride in a wedding dress from KYHA Studios, complemented by a traditional mantilla style veil from ForLove Bridal. The celebrations began even before the main event, with the couple hosting a vibrant welcome party for friends and family at Zumo restaurant.

The pre-wedding festivities featured a traditional callejoneada, a joyous parade through the town's streets. 'Guests joined us for a traditional callejoneada, parading through town with donkeys, mariachis, and even piñatas of Corey Loftus and me,' Burnett shared. 'It was the perfect introduction to the magic of San Miguel.'

Sentimental Touches and Fashion Statements

Demonstrating a flair for fashion and sentiment, Burnett performed a mid-celebration costume change. For the reception, she slipped into a dress designed by Taylor Cox. This garment held special meaning, as it was ingeniously fashioned from two dresses the bride had worn during her time competing in beauty pageants.

The couple's journey to the altar began with a proposal in Sayulita, Mexico, in November 2023. After six years together, Loftus got down on one knee, a moment Burnett commemorated on social media with the date '11.4.2023.' Their wedding last week marks the culmination of their long-term relationship.

Life After Vanderpump Rules

Burnett rose to fame as a SUR-ver on the hit Bravo series Vanderpump Rules, where she appeared for three seasons. However, she decided not to return for a fourth season, following a strong gut feeling. She explained on The Viall Files podcast that the show no longer felt like the right fit for her life.

'I just couldn’t do it,' she stated. 'I was having a really hard time in negotiations and contracts... I just felt like I was in such a different place in my life than everyone else’s and I just didn’t feel connected in the same way.' This personal milestone of marriage certainly underscores the new chapter she has entered since leaving the reality TV world.

Though she posted a reflective message about her time in San Miguel on social media, calling the first days 'so magical,' she cleverly made no direct mention of the wedding, saving the official announcement for the press.
