Channel 5 Airs The Crow Girl Starting July 20
The acclaimed detective series The Crow Girl, adapted from Erik Axl Sund's bestselling Scandinavian novel, begins airing on Channel 5 on Monday, July 20, 2026, at 9pm. The thriller originally launched on Paramount+ in January 2025, where it received praise from viewers who called it a "masterpiece."
Welsh actress Eve Myles leads the star-studded cast as DCI Jeanette Kilburn. She is joined by Dougray Scott as her partner DI Lou Stanley. Together, they pursue a killer following the discovery of unidentified young men's bodies across Bristol, beaten and containing the anaesthetic lidocaine.

A synopsis reads: "When the bodies of unidentified young men start to show up around Bristol, beaten and full of the anaesthetic Lidocaine, police face mounting pressure and little evidence as they hunt the killer. As more bodies surface – including a child missing for over 10 years – the killer edges closer to home, starting a race against time to untangle a web of secrets."

There are six episodes in season one. The first three episodes air consecutively this week, while the last three air the following week.

The Crow Girl Season 2 Details
In an unusual move, season two of The Crow Girl will launch on Paramount+ at exactly the same time as season one airs on Channel 5. The second season arrives 18 months after the first dropped on the streaming service.
The official synopsis for season two reads: "As Jeanette digs deeper, Dr. Sophia Craven begins to suspect Victoria Burkeman, her mysterious former patient, could be responsible. As Jeanette and Sophia's relationship becomes increasingly complex and emotionally charged, the case places their trust and judgement under strain."
The Crow Girl starts on Channel 5 at 9pm on Monday, July 20.
