Stormzy Leaks Man Utd's New adidas Away Kit at World Cup Final

Stormzy has leaked Manchester United's new adidas away kit during an appearance at the World Cup final. The rapper shared a teaser of the strip on his Instagram story while attending the final between Spain and Argentina at MetLife Stadium.

Kit Design Details

The away kit features a bold blue colour with red and white trim, paying tribute to popular Manchester United kits from the 1980s. Adidas has opted for a classic look, using the trefoil logo instead of the usual performance logo. A subtle wave pattern is visible on the shirt.

Stormzy captioned his Instagram post: “@Man Utd you’ve seen it here first.” Fans then got a more detailed look at the shirt via Mayowa Quadri's account, which showed Stormzy displaying the kit in the concourses of MetLife Stadium.

Stormzy's History with United Secrets

This is not the first time Stormzy has been trusted with Manchester United secrets. He previously revealed he was one of the first to learn of Paul Pogba's record-breaking return to Old Trafford. Stormzy said: "It was like the biggest secret on the planet at the time, and I was thinking how I could drop the bomb at any minute. Just the power of having a mad secret like that."

He added: "It was hard to keep, a lot of my family are United fans, my little brother in particular. He was on to me like: 'Is he signing?!' I didn't tell anybody!" Asked if he had to sign any contracts, Stormzy replied: "Yeah, secret locations and all of these things. He's a proper good guy."

Why Stormzy Supports Manchester United

Stormzy has explained his support for Manchester United despite his London accent. He said: "I always get stick. There's probably even people watching now saying 'hear his accent what’s he doing supporting United?' But that’s just how the stars aligned for me. When I was younger I didn’t have a big brother or like a dad who supported United so it all kinda came from me. Cockney Red what can you do?"

Manchester United have already released their adidas home shirt for the 2026/27 Premier League campaign, with supporters getting a first glimpse during a recent 1-0 pre-season defeat to Wrexham. The away kit had remained under wraps until Stormzy's leak.
