Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) and Gary Windass (Mikey North) are hiding something in Coronation Street, and the truth is becoming harder to conceal. The pair have been acting strangely since the night of Theo Silverton’s (James Cartwright) murder, and their sudden closeness has raised eyebrows among the cobbles residents.
Suspicions Grow
Maria Connor (Samia Longchambon) is convinced that Gary and Sarah are having an affair, despite reassurances from friends. In the Rovers, she confronted Todd Grimshaw (Gareth Pierce) with her theory, leaving him determined to uncover the truth. Meanwhile, Sarah’s boyfriend Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) remains oblivious, even planning to propose to her.
Kit seeks blessings from Sarah’s daughter Bethany (Lucy Fallon) and his own son Brody (Ryan Mulvey), but Sarah’s secrets threaten to derail his plans. Todd confronts Sarah, but she breaks down in sobs, admitting she is in "big trouble" and that her current situation is more dangerous than anything she has done before.
Gary's Efforts to Reconcile
Gary, rattled by Todd’s suspicions, urges Sarah to shut them down quickly. He later buys flowers for Maria in an attempt to fix their relationship, but Maria is too distressed to engage, retreating to her bedroom.
As the net closes in, the stage is set for a dramatic dinner party where the truth about Gary and Sarah’s secret may finally be revealed.
