Podcaster and television personality Sam Thompson has made a surprisingly candid confession about his fears of becoming a father, all while navigating a new and blossoming romance with model Talitha Balinska.
The 33-year-old star, who recently went public with his relationship with the 25-year-old model, revealed on his Staying Relevant podcast that the thought of parenthood is 'freaking him out'. During a conversation with his best friend and co-host Pete Wicks, Sam set a personal deadline for when he would like to start a family.
Fatherhood Fears and a Three-Year Deadline
While discussing a regret about not moving to Los Angeles, Thompson's thoughts turned to his future and the prospect of having children. 'I think we're quite similar like that, I just always wanted to wing it, but I do want to be a dad and that has been freaking me out a bit recently,' he admitted to Wicks.
When Pete directly asked if he had a timeline for having kids, Sam was quick to respond. 'Hypothetically, I would probably say 36, so I have three years, less than three years,' he stated, before adding with a dose of realism, 'and I know I'm not going to do that as well, so that kind of sucks.'
A New 'Inseparable' Romance with Talitha Balinska
This personal revelation comes amid the early stages of his relationship with Talitha Balinska. The pair were reportedly set up on a date by Sam's friend and former Made In Chelsea co-star, Reza Amiri-Garroussi, and are now said to be 'inseparable'.
Their connection began in 2023 during a photoshoot for Sam and Reza's sunglasses brand, Dinelli, though Sam was still in a relationship with Zara McDermott at the time. They recently reconnected when Talitha was a surprise guest at Sam's sold-out Staying Relevant live show at London's O2 Arena.
Sam has confirmed they are dating, but revealed he hasn't yet asked her to be his official girlfriend. 'There's no pressure, and that is the beauty of it,' he explained on the podcast. 'The worst part about this is, if she sees this, I could get canned next week.'
Meeting the Family and Double Date Drama
Despite the relationship being new, it appears to be progressing seriously. Sam has already introduced Talitha to his sister, Louise Thompson, her fiancé Ryan, and their son Leo, a significant step that signals his intentions.
The new romance even caused some light-hearted friction with best friend Pete Wicks, who jokingly hit out at Sam over a double date snub. Pete claimed he felt 'sad, lonely and depressed' after being invited to a double date that seemed designed to make him feel like a third wheel.
Meanwhile, Sam's ex-girlfriend, Zara McDermott, has also moved on. She is now in a relationship with One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson, who has publicly said he's 'so in love' with the former Love Island star.
