Oasis are reportedly planning a massive new tour, comprising two residency slots with a total of 18 shows, according to an exclusive report. The band, fronted by brothers Liam Gallagher and Noel Gallagher, is said to have booked 12 nights at Manchester's Etihad Stadium and six shows at Knebworth in Hertfordshire.
Reported Tour Details
The Sun newspaper claims an insider revealed that the tour will begin with 12 nights at the Etihad over six weeks starting in June 2026. The band will then perform six shows at Knebworth over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added, but the current plan is set. The insider stated: "It's 12 nights at the Etihad over six weeks starting in June. They will then play Knebworth six times over a three-week period in September. Dates could be added, but for now, that's the master plan."
The report also indicates that Noel and Liam had always planned for their comeback tour to include a second leg. Announcement plans have been uncertain, with discussions about revealing the tour during the World Cup due to the connection between the band's hit "Wonderwall" and the England football team. However, the insider added: "But they've settled on August. It'll give the country something to shout about — whether we're celebrating or commiserating."
No Official Confirmation Yet
At the time of writing, no official announcement has been made by Oasis or their representatives. The band previously played anniversary shows, and their Oasis Live 25 tour saw millions of fans struggling to secure tickets. Many were left disappointed, and the upcoming rumored tour is expected to generate similar demand.
How to Prepare for Ticket Sales
To increase the chances of securing tickets, fans should take proactive steps. Based on the previous tour, tickets are likely to be sold through major ticketing platforms such as Ticketmaster. For Oasis Live 25, fans were required to sign up via Ticketmaster ahead of time. Therefore, it is advisable to create a Ticketmaster account, including providing an email, setting a secure password, and inputting debit or credit card details in advance.
Additionally, clicking the heart icon on Oasis' Ticketmaster page may help, as certified fans have previously received email updates about upcoming tours. Writing a review of the band's performance on Ticketmaster from the Oasis Live 25 tour could also be beneficial, as some fans believe it helps with the algorithm. Signing up to other official ticketing websites such as Live Nation and Seat Unique is also recommended to receive updates before any announcements.
What to Expect
If the tour proceeds as reported, it would be one of the largest residency runs by a UK band. The Etihad Stadium holds approximately 55,000 seats, and Knebworth can accommodate around 125,000 people per show. With 18 shows total, the tour could potentially sell over 1.5 million tickets. Fans are advised to stay alert for official announcements and prepare their accounts in advance to avoid last-minute issues.
