Meghan Markle is set to make a sensational comeback to her acting roots, having landed a role in the UK, according to reports. The Duchess of Sussex is said to have secured a major role in a UK production, one of the main reasons for the couple's return to Britain.
Move Back to the UK
News dropped yesterday that Harry and Meghan will be moving back to the UK after six years, with their children Archie and Lilibet enrolled in school in September. Now, sources say that the Suits actress has got herself an acting gig this side of the world.
Meghan's Acting Background
Markle, 45, was best known for her role Rachel Zane in Suits before marrying Harry in 2018. She featured in over 100 episodes of the series before announcing her retirement as she embarked on her life within the Royal Family. At the time of giving up her acting career the former Tig star said: “I don’t see it as giving anything up, I just see it as a change. It’s a new challenge.”
Commercial Ventures and Future Plans
Bronte Coy of News.com.au said: "What they want to do, their style of modelling moving forward, is to do the commercial things so that that then funds the other side, so obviously this is not going to be a burden on taxpayers." Bronte added: "People close to Harry said that he was very keen to continue this style of tour. Now that obviously was going to encompass the UK." The Express have contacted Harry and Meghan's representative for comment.
