Manchester United have confirmed a record-breaking deal with Amazon Prime Video to feature in the next instalment of the 'All or Nothing' documentary series. Filming will begin during pre-season, with the access-all-areas series set to air in the summer of 2027.
Michael Carrick's First Full Season
The documentary will follow the first full season of Michael Carrick's tenure as permanent head coach, marking United's return to the Champions League for the first time since the 2023-24 campaign. The series has previously followed Arsenal, Tottenham, and Manchester City.
Record Fee for United
It is believed that Amazon offered United a record fee, significantly more than what other Premier League clubs have received for participating in the series.
The series will document what United have described as a 'transformative summer' and will provide 'unprecedented access to one of the world's most prestigious football clubs, taking them inside the Old Trafford dressing room, the inner sanctum of United's all-new Carrington Training Complex and much more.'
Club Statement
Manchester United's chief communications officer, Toby Craig, said: 'Now is the right time to open our doors, so that for the first time our fans around the world can see behind the scenes of a club which means so much to so many people.'
He added: 'This documentary will showcase Manchester United's unique people, ambition and culture; from the iconic atmosphere at Old Trafford to the work that goes on behind the scenes every day at Carrington. We will share some of the stories of this historic club both with our fans and new audiences around the world as we compete at the highest level, both domestically and in the Champions League.'
Previous Talks and Decision
Amazon had previously held talks with United about filming this season, but the club decided last summer that allowing full access would be a distraction to the players. Former manager Ruben Amorim, who was in charge at the time, was not keen on revealing too much and was concerned about the documentary's impact on the squad.
Previous 'All or Nothing' Series
Arsenal's documentary covered the 2021-22 season, where the Gunners fell away late in the campaign to finish fifth. It offered insights into Mikel Arteta's unusual motivational methods, including angry team talks and training ground bust-ups. Manchester City were featured in the 2017-18 season, during which Pep Guardiola's side amassed 100 points, followed by Tottenham's 2019-20 season under Jose Mourinho.
