Love Island's Finley Maddock Tips 'Heaven Made' Couple to Win

Finley Maddock, a recently dumped Love Island contestant, has tipped Julia and Lorenzo as the couple destined to win the show, describing them as "heaven made" and predicting they will "take the crown." The prediction comes after a dramatic episode on July 16, which saw five islanders leave the villa.

Five Islanders Depart in Emotional Twist

During the latest episode, Jordon and Elicia were immediately voted out as the least favorite boy and girl. In a subsequent twist, the remaining islanders had to evict another boy and girl from the bottom three. Faced with choosing between Finley, Samraj, Mica, and Martha, the group decided to send Finley and Martha home. However, Ellie chose to leave the villa with Finley, resulting in a total of five departures in one night.

Finley's Winner Prediction

Speaking to ITV after his exit, Finley shared his thoughts on who he believes will win the competition. He said: "I think Lorenzo and Julia will. Lorenzo has had such a journey. He's stayed true to himself through everything. I feel like they'll go the distance. It's as if he requested Julia to come into the Villa. It's mad how well matched they are. It genuinely must be heaven-made. I think Julia and Lorenzo will take the crown."

Reflecting on Love Triangle Drama

Finley also addressed the controversy surrounding his involvement in a love triangle with Ellie and newcomer Elicia. After sharing a kiss and engaging in flirtatious banter with Elicia during a date, Ellie was left frustrated and considered leaving the villa. Despite the turmoil, Finley ultimately reaffirmed his commitment to Ellie, and the pair began to rebuild their relationship.

Reflecting on his actions, Finley said: "It's such a unique experience and I'm not going to say I have any regrets. I wish I'd handled it a lot better in terms of communication. I've learned a lot from it. You're supposed to go in there and learn things about yourself, that's part of the show. Nobody's perfect and I've learned something from being on the show."

He added: "It's bad that I hurt people, but I'm thinking about where we are now. We're in a good place. Definitely no regrets. I just could have handled it a lot better than I did. As long as we learn from our mistakes, eh?"

Elicia's Explosive Entrance

Discussing Elicia's arrival, Finley admitted he had crossed boundaries during their date, saying: "That was the issue. I knew I was never going to fully explore it in the Villa, so I thought that if I was going to put myself out there and really explore it, it was going to be on this date. I did it, then came back and made a mess for a couple of days."

Love Island airs Sunday to Friday at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVX.
