Thousands of activists took over central London on 4 July 2026 to celebrate Pride, an annual event described as 'a historic LGBTQIA+ celebration that transforms the Capital into a stage for visibility'. The event featured free performances, guest speakers, and live music across six major central London zones, including Soho, Leicester Square, and Trafalgar Square.
Celebrities and Performers
Several celebrities were spotted at the event. TV star and singer Alesha Dixon and Myleene Klass attended the Pride lunch. UK artist James Indigo performed on stage at the Trafalgar Square Show. Singer Leo Kalyan, known for 'Get Your Love', was among the performers. American singer-songwriter Maris (real name Maris Maddux-Ward) also performed. British drag queen and singer Tia Kofi, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race: UK vs. the World, performed at the show. Greek-Nigerian Afro-pop fusion artist Love Itoya, Georgia Meek (known as MEEK), and TV presenter Ade Adepitan also graced the stage. Singer Lucinda Williams attended the London Pride lunch hosted by Bimini & Simon Jones at Soho Mews House. Drag queen Bimini Bon Boulash and actress Claire Sweeney were also at the lunch.
Mayor's Message
Mayor of London Sadiq Khan marched alongside activists. In a post on X, he said: 'Pride is both a celebration and a protest. Today we celebrate the progress we've made, while recommitting to the fight for equality. At a time when rights and representation cannot be taken for granted, London stands with its LGBTQIA+ communities.'
