Drag performer La Voix has swiftly bounced back from her Strictly Come Dancing departure, securing a leading role in a major musical theatre production.
From Dance Floor to Theatre Stage
The artist, whose real name is Christopher Dennis, was forced to withdraw from the BBC dancing competition recently due to a significant foot injury. La Voix expressed being devastated about leaving the show, where she had quipped she was 'giving someone else a chance to win'.
However, her schedule remains packed. It has now been confirmed that La Voix will play the iconic role of Miss Hannigan in the UK and Ireland tour of the beloved musical Annie.
Tour Dates and Pantomime Season
The extensive tour is set to commence at the New Wimbledon Theatre on 23 May next year. Audiences across the country will get to see her performance, with scheduled stops in major cities including London, Birmingham, and Manchester.
Before the Annie tour begins, La Voix will return to the stage much sooner. She is scheduled to appear in the Jack And The Beanstalk pantomime at Wycombe Swan from 12 December this year.
A Proven Performer
This new theatrical venture adds another impressive credit to La Voix's already notable career. She is well-known to British television audiences, having been the runner-up on RuPaul's Drag Race UK in 2024 and a semi-finalist on Britain's Got Talent a decade earlier in 2014. Her move into a principal role in a large-scale musical tour marks a significant step in her professional journey.
