Killer Sudoku 1,030 is now available for readers to solve. The puzzle follows normal sudoku rules, but with an additional constraint: the numbers in cells within dotted lines must add up to the figure shown in the corner of each shape. No number can be repeated within any shape formed by dotted lines.
How to Access the Puzzle
The puzzle can be accessed via the print version. Readers are encouraged to solve it and then check the completed solution in the next issue of the Guardian for puzzles published Monday to Thursday. For Friday and Saturday puzzles, solutions are provided in either Saturday’s or Monday’s edition.
Puzzle Rules and Tips
Standard sudoku rules apply: each row, column, and 3x3 box must contain the numbers 1 through 9 exactly once. The killer sudoku twist requires that the sum of numbers in each dotted-line cage equals the small number in the cage's corner, with no repeats within that cage.
