Kelly Osbourne Shares Heartbreaking Ozzy Christmas Clip in First Year Without Him
Kelly Osbourne's Heartbreaking Ozzy Christmas Tribute

Kelly Osbourne has posted a deeply poignant clip of her late father, Ozzy Osbourne, putting up Christmas decorations, marking the family's first festive season without the rock icon.

A Bittersweet Family Tradition

The 41-year-old shared the video, originally seen by The Sun, which captures a cherished Osbourne family tradition: decorating the Christmas tree together. Kelly revealed that the family always puts up their tree on this specific day, but confessed the celebrations will never be the same.

In the sweet, yet now heartbreaking, footage, the Black Sabbath legend can be seen happily, if somewhat comically, wrestling with a tangled string of Christmas lights. The rock and roll veteran is heard swearing in frustration before eventually calling out to his beloved wife, Sharon Osbourne, 73, for assistance.

Reposting the clip from another user, Kelly penned a heartfelt message alongside it: 'We are meant to be putting up the Christmas tree today! It won't be the same.' She accompanied the text with a crying emoji, underscoring the family's profound sense of loss.

The Final Farewell

Ozzy Osbourne passed away at the age of 76 on July 22 at his UK home, surrounded by his loved ones. His death came after a six-year battle with Parkinson's Disease.

His passing occurred just weeks after a monumental and emotional event for the rocker. Ozzy reunited with his original Black Sabbath bandmates - Tony Iommi, Geezer Butler, and Bill Ward - for the first time since 2005. The performance at Villa Park in their hometown served as a final farewell to his decades on stage, a moment his son Jack later described as a 'living wake.'

Reflecting on that final concert, Jack Osbourne told Good Morning America, 'Before he went on stage, I ran back into the dressing room, and I just gave him a big hug... I just said, 'Crush it. You're going to do so good'. And I was crying.' He added that he and his brother were both in tears in the crowd, not out of pity, but because they knew it was the last time.

A Family Navigating Grief

In the wake of Ozzy's death, his wife of 43 years, Sharon, took to social media to thank fans for their 'overwhelming love and support.' She admitted she was 'still finding her footing' after the loss and had been 'carried through' by those around her.

Their son, Jack, provided an update on his mother's state, telling sources, 'She's okay, but she's not okay. I know she feels the love.'

The family's journey through this difficult period will be featured in an upcoming BBC One documentary, 'Sharon & Ozzy Osbourne: Coming Home'. The film will chart the self-styled Prince of Darkness's return to the UK after more than three decades living in the United States. It will also feature Jack and Kelly speaking candidly about their mother's pain during Ozzy's final years, nursing him through painful operations.

This follows the recent Paramount+ documentary, 'Ozzy: No Escape From Now,' which includes insights from Kelly and Jack's older sister, Aimee, regarding their father's final years.
