John Cleese, the 86-year-old Monty Python star, was treated to a surprise party by his wife Jennifer Wade, 53, celebrating his 60 years in show business. The event took place at London's Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park, with a guest list including Hugh Grant, Ronnie Wood, Alison Steadman, Terry Gilliam, and Rowan Atkinson.
Cleese, who leaned on a black walking cane, wore a navy blazer and baseball cap, while Jennifer Wade opted for a black velvet blazer and turtleneck. The couple shared a rare public display of affection with a kiss for the cameras.
John and Jennifer first met in 2009 through mutual friends and married in 2012 on the Caribbean island of Mustique. Cleese has described his wife as an 'extraordinary one off', while Wade called them 'kindred spirits'.
The actor was previously married three times: to Connie Booth, Barbara Trentham, and Alyce Faye Cleese. He has two daughters, Cynthia and Camilla, from his earlier marriages.
