The BBC has confirmed that a second season of the murder mystery thriller I, Jack Wright is currently in production. The series, created by Chris Lang (Unforgotten, Innocent), premiered on BBC One and BBC iPlayer earlier this month after initially airing on UandAlibi in April 2025.
Season Two Plot Details
A synopsis for the upcoming season reads: "The Wrights are back – and deadlier than ever. Still reeling from the death of patriarch Jack, the family are blindsided by the arrest of one of their own for his murder. But have the police got the right person? And more importantly, how could this affect their inheritance payouts?"
The description adds: "Add in one new family member, two new wills, and three new bodies, and prepare for an explosive return to the twisted world of the Wright family."
Returning Cast Members
Several cast members from the first season will reprise their roles. Nikki Amuka-Bird returns as Sally Wright, John Simm as Gray Wright, Ruby Ashbourne-Serkis as Emily Wright, and Daniel Rigby as John Wright. Harry Lloyd will also return as DCI Morgan.
New Additions to the Cast
Joining the ensemble for season two are Tom Austen, known for his roles in Rematch, Helstrom, The Royals, and Grantchester, and Zora Bishop, recognized from Hijack, Andor, and Protection.
