Wirral Youth Market is set to take place in Bromborough on Saturday, August 22. The market will be held in Bromborough town centre bringing together young traders, performers and community entertainment.
The free event will run from 10am to 4pm on Allport Lane and will feature stalls from young entrepreneurs alongside live music from local bands, dance groups and choirs. Applications are open for young people with business ideas, side hustles, creative brands or established small enterprises to apply for a free pitch, which includes a gazebo, table and chairs. Performers are also being invited to take part.
More than 30 returning traders have already signed up for the event.
Previous events and support
Since the programme launched, Youth Markets have been held in Liscard, New Brighton, Birkenhead and West Kirby. More than 30,000 people have attended the events, which have featured hundreds of young traders and performers.
The event is funded through the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority's Local Growth Fund. This year's programme also includes additional funding to provide five young entrepreneurs with support through the Wirral Business Support Service. Delivered by Wirral Chamber of Commerce, the support programme will offer workshops, one-to-one advice and practical business guidance for participants, aimed at helping young people develop skills and confidence whether they are starting a business or already trading.

Female-led market in Liverpool city centre
The weekend prior, market enjoyers will be able to visit a female-led independent pop-up market packed with rare fashion, handmade pieces and nostalgic treasures in Liverpool city centre. The Dream Train Market will take over Artefact coffee shop on Roscoe Street on Sunday, August 16, bringing together five female-owned independent businesses for a day celebrating vintage style, creativity and small makers.
Running from 10am until 5pm, the free event will showcase a carefully curated collection of rare vintage clothing, one-of-a-kind designs, handmade accessories and retro-inspired homeware. Visitors can browse the stalls while DJ Gianna Skye spins a selection of original 1960s and 1970s vinyl records throughout the day, creating a retro soundtrack to accompany the shopping experience.
Artefact Coffee and Shop will also be open throughout the day, serving drinks and food for visitors looking to relax between browsing the stalls.
