Faith Ward has become a fan-favourite on Netflix's America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season three. The 23-year-old cheerleader was born in Wellington, New Zealand, and moved to Australia at age 10.
Early Life and Background
Faith was raised by a devoted single mother, as she references in her TikTok content. In a clip of them embracing at an airport, she captioned: "My mom clapped so hard for me I didn't notice my father was never there. That sums up the kind of person she is."
She began dancing at age two and was competing by age 10. At 18, she turned professional with Smash Dance Company in Australia, and at 20, she danced on a major cruise line for nearly a year.
Making History with DCC
Faith was 22 when season three of America's Sweethearts was filmed during the NFL's 2025-26 season, making her the first New Zealander and fourth Australian to join the squad. "So beyond grateful and blessed to turn my biggest dream into a reality," she wrote on Instagram. "This journey has been incredibly challenging, both physically and mentally, but I wouldn't change a thing!"
Her Signature Ponytail
Faith is the only cheerleader who sports her hair in a ponytail, a style suggested by coach Kelli Finglass, who noted her resemblance to Ariana Grande. Faith said: "I'm in rehearsal one of the days with my hair out and I am, you know, sweating after doing Thunderstruck. She's looking at me and she's like, 'You know what? I really want to see what your hair would look like tied up'." Kelli also encouraged her to grow her hair longer and blonder.
Beyond Cheerleading
When not with the Dallas Cowboys, Faith works as a content creator and makeup artist. She is known as 'Flexi Faith' on social media due to her remarkable flexibility.
America's Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders season 3 is available to stream on Netflix.
