Serena Sugden (Casey Al-Shaqsy) has been acting increasingly suspicious in Emmerdale, and her mysterious plans are finally coming to light. After weeks of shady behavior, she is caught in the act during a burglary at Home Farm, where she comes face to face with another intruder and Ross Barton (Michael Parr).
Serena's Suspicious Behavior
Vanessa Woodfield (Michelle Hardwick) first noticed something was off when she spotted Serena researching Nate's death and hastily hiding her laptop. Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) has been particularly wary of Serena after learning she is a police officer, and his suspicions seem justified. Serena returned home covered in mud just before the hay trailer's brakes failed, injuring Robert (Ryan Hawley). She was later seen entering a police station after learning that Vic had a hand in John's death. The final straw came when she began coming on to Ross, confirming that something strange was afoot.
The Home Farm Heist
It appears Serena is seeking revenge, as she stole a USB stick from Home Farm in an attempt to find a video of Vic killing John. However, when she discovers the USB is blank, she realizes she must return to Home Farm for a second attempt. During her second burglary, she is surprised to find she is not alone. Kev Townsend's (Chris Coghill) dodgy pal Steve (Jason Done) is also raiding the property, having pressured Kev to capitalize on a seemingly valuable opportunity. The situation escalates when Ross Barton enters the premises, catching both burglars in the act.
Confrontation and Escape
Serena and Steve manage to hide from Ross, but they must go to extreme lengths to avoid discovery. The question remains: how will they keep Ross quiet? The unfolding drama promises to reveal more about Serena's true motives and the secrets she is desperate to uncover.
