Angela Lonsdale has confirmed her departure from Emmerdale, announcing that her final episodes as DS Reid will air this week. The actress joined the ITV soap earlier this year, playing a police officer who supported Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) after her sexual assault by Dr Todd (Caroline Harker).
Emotional Instagram Farewell
Taking to Instagram, Lonsdale shared a reel of highlights from her time on the show, including clips with co-stars and scenes in the iconic village. She wrote: "What an honour and a privilege to play DS REID and be trusted with such a sensitive storyline. Working alongside the phenomenally talented @missemmaatkins @missmichellehardwick @lawrencejarobb and Caroline was one of the highlights of my career."
She thanked the cast and crew, adding: "The cast and crew made me feel part of the family from day one! Will miss you all. Final Episodes air this week."
