Ellidy Pullin Sparks Marriage Speculation After Sharing Wedding Photos With New Boyfriend
Ellidy Pullin has ignited widespread speculation that she may have secretly married her new partner, Brock Wadsworth, following her recent social media posts from a wedding ceremony last week. The 33-year-old, who tragically lost her former partner, snowboard champion Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin, in a drowning accident in 2020, posted several photographs of herself and Brock attending the nuptials of her friends Ellie King and Simon James Deutscher.
Bridal Attire Fuels Fan Theories
In the images, Ellidy served as a bridesmaid, wearing an elegant long white lace dress and holding a bouquet, while Brock appeared sharply dressed in a black shirt and matching trousers. Her caption, which read, 'Hellie got married, what the helly anddddd it was a bloody honour standing by your side sis,' immediately prompted followers to mistakenly believe she had walked down the aisle herself.
Fans flooded the comments section with reactions, with one writing, 'Gorgeous pics of you @ellidy_ I thought you’d got married for a minute till I re read what you’d written and looked at photos properly.' Another added, 'Thought Ellidy got hitched button,' while a third remarked, 'Girl I thought YOU got married in that dress.' A further comment read, 'Omg I thought it said what the hellie got married,' highlighting the confusion.
Intimate Details of New Relationship Revealed
Ellidy recently shared intimate details about her blossoming romance with Brock in a heartfelt Instagram post earlier this week. She uploaded a series of photos showing Brock spending quality time with her three-year-old daughter, Minnie Alex, who was born in 2021 through an incredible IVF and posthumous sperm retrieval process following Chumpy's tragic death.
The images depicted Brock looking delighted as he bonded with the adorable toddler, presenting the trio as a very happy family unit. In an expansive tribute, Ellidy joked, 'Meet Brick, his dad calls him that and he absolutely fkn hates it so naturally I call him that too.' She elaborated on their relationship, saying, 'He tickles my back until I fall asleep, he knows it's absolutely illegal for him to fall asleep before me, he listens to my late night rambles, he adores my little girl, and they adore him back.'
She continued, 'He brings us flowers and cooks us all of the wild meals we demand, on demand!!! It can't be easy for young Brick.' Expressing her joy, Ellidy wrote, 'I'm truly in such a happy place. It's been a big and wild year, I'll tell you that much, LOTS to navigate, feelings of moving forward with someone else is something I hoped for, but didn't know fully what that would look like. I'm very grateful, and I feel excited for what's to come, I've learnt that my heart can grow and grow.'
Navigating New Love After Loss
In a poignant message to followers, Ellidy addressed those who might be experiencing similar journeys of finding love after loss. She advised, 'If you're reading this and you miss someone, never compare your life or your grief to anyone else. You do you. That person is up there watching you and they want to see you smile!!!'
Speaking on the LiSTNR podcast, Darling, Shine! last week, Ellidy admitted to feeling a complex mix of joy and guilt over her new romance, which the couple publicly revealed in November. She said, 'I'm just so happy right now, and I'm really enjoying the feelings and the emotions and falling in love with Brock and having this new love. I feel guilty saying that because, obviously, there were so many times where I just thought it would just be Chump and I forever.'
She reflected, 'It would have been, but he passed away… I'm young, I'm never going to be alone forever. I didn't make a rash decision. I sat on this for pretty much a whole year, and I'm really stoked with where I am with him right now. It's f**king epic.' This new relationship emerges five years after the tragic death of Alex 'Chumpy' Pullin, who drowned on the Gold Coast at age 32 in a freak spearfishing accident on July 8, 2020.
