EastEnders' Lauren loses everything after Peter kicks her out

Lauren Branning has told Mark Fowler Jr she has "lost absolutely everything" after her husband Peter Beale kicked her out of their home.

During Tuesday's (August 4) episode of EastEnders, Peter (Thomas Law) confronted Lauren (Jacqueline Jossa) after noticing a flirtatious moment between her and his distant cousin Mark (Stephen Aaron-Sipple). Although Peter was unaware that Lauren had already kissed Mark, he sensed something was going on.

When Peter confronted her, Lauren promised there was "nothing going on with anyone" but eventually confessed she had been working with Mark to sell stolen cars at the car lot. Furious, Peter shouted: "How dare you do this to us? My dad's already in jail, and you're literally running around, risking everything for a few extra quid."

Peter demands Lauren leave

Citing a breach of trust and her not wanting to spend time with him or their two sons, Peter packed Lauren's bag and demanded she stay with Penny Branning (Kittle Castledine).

On Wednesday, the fallout continued as Peter struggled with Lauren's absence. Penny pushed Lauren to be honest about her feelings for Mark, leaving her torn.

Lauren tells Mark to leave Walford

Using the separation to his advantage, Mark suggested they meet at the Boxing Den. When Lauren arrived, she was frustrated by his charm and asked: "Is this all just a joke to you? Mark, I have lost absolutely everything, for what, a little bit of extra cash in my back pocket?"

Mark apologised and tried to embrace Lauren, but she told him: "Don't be nice to me, don't make it harder than it needs to be." She added: "I'm not going to stand here and say that I don't have any feelings, I do, I feel it. Every single time I see you, I feel it. Those feelings don't matter, my boys, they matter."

Lauren then demanded that Mark leave Walford permanently, but it remains to be seen if he will listen and whether Lauren and Peter can reconcile. EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday on BBC One and iPlayer.
