Sir David Beckham has recreated his viral 'be honest' moment with his wife Lady Victoria after she unveiled a towering Christmas tree at their London home, claiming to have decorated it herself. The former England captain, 50, famously challenged Victoria during his Netflix documentary when she described her upbringing as 'working class' despite being driven to school in a Rolls-Royce.
In a video shared on social media on Sunday, Victoria, 51, said: 'The tree is ready. Feeling like an overachiever, I can't lie. It's a big tree. We've never been so ready for Christmas. Ready for David's...' At that moment, David appeared around the door and interjected: 'Be honest! Did you really decorate that tree?' When Victoria asked, 'Is it a nice surprise?', he replied: 'Very nice, Mrs Claus!'
The exchange delighted fans, with one commenting: 'You two are too cute... The way her voice cracked when she heard him.' Another wrote: 'Literally my favourite couple,' while a third added: 'The be honest is so iconic now.'
The couple, who have been married for over two decades, met when Victoria was at the height of her Spice Girls fame nearly 30 years ago. They share four children: Brooklyn, 26, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 20, and 14-year-old Harper.
The festive video comes weeks after David received his knighthood from the monarch at Windsor Castle for services to sport and charitable causes. Victoria paid tribute to him on Instagram, writing: 'You've always been my knight in shining armour, but now it's official. Sir David Beckham! What an honour, I couldn't be prouder of you.'
David himself described the honour as 'truly humbling', telling PA: 'Growing up in east London with parents and grandparents who were so patriotic and proud to be British, I never could have imagined I would receive such a truly humbling honour.' The knighthood had been previously delayed following leaked emails from 2017 in which he reportedly criticised the honours system.
