The music world is in mourning following the death of acclaimed alt-country singer Todd Snider. He was 59 years old.
His production company confirmed the tragic news on Saturday, 15 November 2025. Snider's death came shortly after he reported being the victim of a violent assault in Utah earlier in the month.
Arrest and Hospitalisation
The incident unfolded in Salt Lake City, where Snider was arrested on charges including disorderly conduct and trespassing. This occurred on the very same day as the alleged assault.
After his release from police custody, he was immediately admitted to hospital. It was there that Snider recounted the assault, which he claimed took place outside his hotel.
Health Complications and Aftermath
Following his hospital admission, friends and family disclosed that the singer began experiencing breathing difficulties. He was subsequently diagnosed with walking pneumonia.
