Coronation Street is set to air explosive scenes next week as Gary Windass and Sarah Platt's secret puts their relationships under huge pressure, while Sam Blakeman continues to struggle with his mental health.
Gary and Sarah Update as Maria Left Heartbroken
Next week's spoilers reveal a significant development for Gary and Sarah. Gary's wife, Maria Connor, is left utterly distraught after she catches Gary and Sarah embracing. Gary insists they must delete all their messages to avoid suspicion.
Later, a heartbroken Maria confides in Fiz and Izzy about her fears that Gary is having an affair with Sarah. Meanwhile, Todd informs Sarah that Maria suspects her of infidelity. Will Sarah reveal what she and Gary are actually hiding?
A worried Maria tells Gary they need to talk. Hiding his concern, Gary suggests they meet for a curry later to discuss things properly. Later in the week, Gary announces a surprise holiday for the family, which makes Izzy, Jake, and Liam delighted, but Maria remains skeptical. She confesses to Izzy that she believes Gary is being unfaithful and organized the holiday to ease his conscience.
At the same time, Sarah's partner, Kit Green, takes significant steps forward in their relationship. He reveals to Sarah's daughter Bethany that he is considering proposing to Sarah. Later, Harry admits he likes having Kit around, and Kit reassures him the feeling is mutual. By the week's end, Kit admires the engagement ring he has bought for Sarah.
Sam Update as Nick Left Devastated
In forthcoming scenes, Nick reels with shock while awaiting news about his son. He confronts Ben Driscoll and Eva Price, identifying Megan's court case as the source of Sam's troubles. Eva reassures Ben that Sam's help with the court case is unnecessary and that Will will handle it alone.
Later that week, Nick is devastated to discover the full extent of Sam's anguish. He attacks Ben verbally, holding him responsible for not identifying Megan's wrongdoing earlier, which caused Sam avoidable distress. As the week ends, Sam tells Nick he wishes to meet with Roy following the incident at the café.
