Coronation Street fans think they have figured out what Sarah Platt and Gary Windass are hiding after their secretive behaviour on the ITV soap, but they didn't kill Theo.
Fans speculate on murder twist
Fans of Coronation Street think they know who Sarah Platt and Gary Windass are covering for in a possible Theo Silverton murder twist. Sarah and Gary have been acting weird, clearly hiding something, ever since the night Theo died. Viewers don't think it's an affair though despite accusations.
They also do not think either of these characters killed Theo. But fans are now suspecting they either know who did kill Theo, or suspect someone. Fans wonder if Sarah and Gary were there, given we saw Gary standing above Theo's body in a flashback. The theory is that they are now protecting the killer, or at least who they believe carried out the crime.
Social media theories
Taking to social media, fans suggested Todd Grimshaw killed his partner Theo, or that Sarah and Gary believe he is the killer. So are the pair covering for him?
A fan said: "Ok, if it’s definitely one of them round this table then my money is on Todd! Gary and Sarah think it was Sarah and Gary is covering for her. But Todd found Theo alive at the bottom of the scaffolding and finished him off!"
Another fan said: "TODD And Gary Could he have killed Theo." A third fan posted: "My main theory is Theo killed himself to frame Todd for his murder & left Todd his life insurance as a motive. But, Sarah & Gary found Theo's staged crime scene & got rid of the 'evidence' thinking they were covering for Todd. Now Gary's in a panic!"
Another fan posted: "I currently think Theo killed himself & wanted to frame Todd for his murder, but Sarah & Gary disrupted Theo's 'crime scene' thinking they were covering up for Todd. But, Theo might still get what he wants if Todd confesses to the 'murder' to save Summer from prison."
A further theory read: "I saw someone speculate that maybe Todd killed Theo and Sarah and Gary are covering for him, or they THINK he killed Theo so are protecting him for no reason as they don't know it was someone other than Todd. Has made me wonder if Todd is more involved as we still don't know the full details of that night."
The theory kept on being shared online by fans, with another post reading: "I think so too, I saw a theory that they think Todd killed Theo so are protecting him, unaware they are actually covering for the real killer who is someone else."
